Resolve by Samantha Bradshaw

 Resolve

there is a sweet melody that you make through
broken whispers in muffled feedback.
with your staves, your sforzandos, your pianos—
your rubato as it swirls around your tongue.
there is a rest in between us
with large unnatural silence. so what do you fill
it with, other than what you know best.
your melody that dances with such a mind of
its own— you have made this space so sacred.
so much of our lives were shared between small
breaths. what you speak now is so simple,
three beats and I’m all over you.
