SUBMISSIONS

Although you can contact us directly by using the form on the sidebar, or through our social media accounts, we take submissions via email: paxamericana.ake@gmail.com. 

You can send your work in any format you want.

For our issues, we accept works of fiction (short story, poetry, flash fiction etc.), non-fiction or visual art (including illustrations, photographs, etc.). For our spring and fall issues, we only accept works of other ACL students from different universities. For our Mini Americanas, we accept the works from other departments.  

Requirements for non-fiction (essays, articles, etc.) works are as follows: 

  • Written in Times New Roman, 12 punto font
  • Conforms to the latest MLA format (currently 9th edition)
  • Includes references
  • Exhibits or examines elements of American culture

    We do not have any requirements for works of fiction.

    "THRESHOLD" AS A THEME - WHAT DO WE EXPECT

    Hello to all! We recently received some questions about the theme we've chosen for this issue of our magazine, and we wanted to answer them and any other questions you might have. As you can understand, "threshold" as a theme can encompass many things. After all, one of the main factors that attracted us to this theme was the diversity of this concept and its openness to interpretation. Of course, we understand the confusion that arises from this situation. But to explain briefly, our sensitivity to this topic will be based entirely on what you envision as a writer or artist. If the theme resonates with you, and you have expressed it in your work in any way, our editors will be happy to review your work.
